Mulholland Middle School Special Education Program (Grades 6–8)
The Special Education Program at Mulholland Middle School is designed to provide individualized support and instruction for students with diverse learning needs in grades 6 through 8. The program focuses on fostering academic growth, social development, and independence within a supportive and inclusive environment.
Special Day Class (SDC)
The Special Day Class program serves students who benefit from a smaller, more structured learning environment. Instruction is tailored to meet each student’s unique learning goals, emphasizing core academic skills, social-emotional development, and functional life skills. Students receive individualized attention and support to help them succeed both academically and personally.
Intellectual Disabilities (ID) Program
The ID program provides specialized instruction for students with intellectual disabilities. The curriculum focuses on functional academics, communication, daily living skills, and community-based learning experiences. The program promotes independence and prepares students for continued success in high school and beyond.
Resource Specialist Program (RSP)
The Resource Specialist Program supports students who participate primarily in general education classes but require additional assistance in specific academic areas. RSP teachers collaborate with general education staff to provide targeted support in mathematics and English. Services may include small-group instruction, individualized interventions, and accommodations to help students access the curriculum and achieve their educational goals.
